Foster Care

Youth Haven Services is a Licensed Child Placing Agency providing Therapeutic and Traditional Foster Care. If a child is in need of foster care services, we will access their needs and match them with quality, well trained foster parents. In 2011 there were an estimated 500,000 children in Foster Care placement in the United States. Foster care placement can occur for many reasons. Children may be removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect, parental abandonment, parental illness, death, or other parental issues. Children may also need foster care to assist them deal with their own behavioral/emotional issues.

Foster Care Parents needed

Youth Haven Services is currently recruiting Foster Parents. Youth Haven Services offers our Foster Parents many supports to assist you with your foster parent role. Supports include:

• 24/7 on-call crisis responder
  
• Weekly Home Visits with LCSW
  
• Respite
  

In addition to the above support, numerous trainings are provided:

• Foster Parent training
  
• Mandatory 30hours MAPP
  
• Therapeutic foster care training
  
• Child sexual abuse training
  
• First Aid /CPR
  
• Shared Parenting
  
• Positive Discipline
  
• Medication Administration

We conduct a monthly interest meeting to explain foster parenting and answer any questions potential parents may have. The meeting is held on the 1st Tuesday of each month from 5:30-7:00 at our Turner Drive location.
