Comprehensive Clinical Assessments (CCA

At the onset of services, new clients receive a comprehensive clinical assessment by a licensed therapist to determine what behavioral/emotional problems the client may be experiencing. Clinical Assessments allow Youth Haven Services to partner with the client and their supporters to develop a plan of care as well as determine what services are most appropriate.

Counseling Services

We provide counseling to children, adolescents, adults, and their families. We want to help people become empowered by changing the behaviors that often cause pain and to learn new ways to deal with life challenges.

School Based Therapy

We partner with Rockingham, Stokes, Caswell and Guilford county school systems to provide school-based services to children and adolescents in need. YHS, along with Rockingham County Schools, has been recognized as a leader in collaborative mental health service delivery.

Individual and Family Therapy

Youth Haven Services provides Mental Health and Substance Abuse counseling to adults, children, adolescents and their families. We want to help people become empowered by changing the behaviors that often cause pain and to learn new ways to deal with life challenges.

Our Program Goals

   •   The youth will be able to successfully transition back to their regular classroom setting or will transition into employment (for older students)

   •   The youth will make satisfactory school progress and will interact positively and appropriately with staff and peers

   •   The youth will acquire appropriate skills to be able to function in their home/school/ community successfully

   •   The youth will acquire strategies to successfully cope with their mental health or substance use issues and will improve their quality of life.
